Amanzoe

Amanzoe is a modern "Acropolis" designed by the late architect Ed Tuttle. Situated on a hilltop surrounded by ancient olive groves and vineyards, the resort is a monumental tribute to classical Greek architecture. The design utilizes massive Doric columns, local marble, and stone to create a series of stepped pavilions that cascade toward the Aegean Sea. It is a masterpiece of symmetry and light, focusing on the "purity of the horizon." Unlike the crowded islands, Amanzoe offers a sense of Olympian scale and silence, representing a radical, high-design return to the Peloponnesian roots of Western civilization.
